Ogilvy has been producing iconic, culture-changing marketing campaigns since the day its founder David Ogilvy opened up shop in 1948. Today, Ogilvy is an award-winning integrated creative network that makes brands matter for Fortune Global 500 companies as well as local businesses across 131 offices in 83 countries.
The company creates experiences, design and communications that shape every aspect of a brand’s needs through six core capabilities: Brand Strategy, Advertising, Customer Engagement and Commerce, PR and Influence, Digital Transformation, and Partnerships. Ogilvy is a WPP company (NASDAQ: WWPGY).
As our UX Design Lead, you will take ownership of all UX design across an impressive client portfolio. You will play a lead role in shaping the interactions millions of people in Asia experience with brands each day and will work at the intersection of customer needs and business objectives, all whilst pushing technological boundaries to deliver beautiful, elegant, and functional solutions.
You will be responsible for the experience design output throughout the full project lifecycle, from generative and evaluative research, through conception, design, prototyping, and user testing. At Ogilvy you will have the opportunity to shape our design methodologies. Research and experimentation are second nature to you, and you always look for ways to do better, more exciting, and more advanced work.
You live and breathe user-centric interaction design. While you may not be able to code (although it won’t hurt), you know what can and can’t be done in a browser or on a mobile screen, and you constantly keep yourself informed about the ways in which those possibilities change. You have a keen interest for human behaviour and apply these insights to ever-better websites, mobile apps, e-commerce platforms, other digital products, and service design.
As team lead, you inspire members of our growing UX team to craft exceptional experiences for our clients. You help them grow and learn as you guide them working in agile scrum teams on a day-to-day basis. You need to have a firm understanding of modular design and be able to create design systems from scratch to ensure that the team’s work is scalable and can lead to efficiencies in both design and build.
You’re proficient in Sketch, Figma, and/or Adobe XD and have used some online prototyping tool or other. You are confident explaining your interaction design (or even somebody else’s) to the client and aren’t too precious about it to accept feedback and make it better. You love to guide more junior experience designers, helping them to become better every day, and you enjoy learning from consultants and developers about customer experience strategy, UX, and technology.
